Let's Party

Hi everyone!

Just a quick reminder for our current challenge at the Dream Factory.
Movie: The Holiday - Liebe braucht keine Ferien - Amour longue distance
Key words: Love, Holiday, Family, UK, USA ....

This time I was inspired by the party at the end of the movie!

I used a Stampin'Up stamp, which I modified slightly, to get this cocktail glass.
I added a straw and then colored the drink with felt-tip pens.
I stamped, colored and cut a small branch of holly which I added with a small bow at the foot of the glass.
The black panel is designed in its upper part with stars using a stencil and structural paste, and in its lower part with punched stars.
As sentiment I used a big, thick gold glitter sticker
....and not to forget, the twinkling strip next to the black panel.

Maybe you have something to celebrate, or something suitable to our challenge. - So, ......join the party! ;-)

Products I used:
The holly branche is from the Crafty Secret Set at the left, the stencil is from Scrap Plaisir and the punch from Stampin'Up

Happy Birthday sweet little Mia

Hello everyone.

The sweet little girl of my niece celebrated her first birthday this week and of course I needed a funny card with lovely words! - Sure that she can not read it yet but for later, such things are always nice memories!

After stamping and coloring, I fussy cut the little "Smookie", embossed it slightly, glued foam pads on it and put it aside.
Then I made a line by stamping the sentiment in several times onto a white cardstock. I took a circle, placed it over the line and stamped the stars arround.
Next I colored the edges of the card base with "Melon Mambo" from SU and added dots with a darker felt tip pen. Then I stuck the white cardstock on the base card and added the little dragon, the cloud and the sun. As last step "I sewed" some faux stitching here and there.

It was really fun to do! :-)

Mother's Day

Hello erveryone.

Last Sunday was Mother's Day in Germany and of course my mommy got a card from me for her beautiful day !!

The cute little blonde is from Tiddly Inks and her name is Wryn.
I colored it with felt pens and water, then I cut it out and put it into a small landscape.
The hills are colored with ink pads - sun, tree, butterfly and bird are stamps from different sets, which you can see below. - Hearts, shoes and hair clip are embellished with Glossy.

In France Mother's Day is celebrated only at the end of the month.

I would also like to welcome my new reader Elli Angel
(Sorry, no blog found - please let me know if you have one )

Happy weekend to you all!

Sorry I forgot the sentiment from Mia's Stempelküche and the butterfly from Rachelle Anne Miller.

When Alcohol Inks meet Yupo...

....it's just magical to see how the colors work!

Hi everyone!

Before Easter is too far, here is another card I wanted to share with you!

This time I played with my alcohol inks on Yupo paper.

I die-cut an oval for the egg from an ordinary paper,
rounded one side and splashed some brown, blue and red ink on it.
After drying I die-cut the bigger feather from the Yupo. - The two others were first stamped and then fussy-cut.
I glued egg and feathers using foam pads on a white panel which was stamped with blue feathers, then I stuck the whole little package on the card.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment with brown ink at the left side.

Thanks for visiting!

Easter Bunny

Hello everyone!

To revive a bit my blog, I've a little Easter card today. ;-)

As you may already know, to make my cards, I like to use images that I find on the net, but to respect the work of the artists, I first want to have their agreement before publishing the creations for which I used their images.

Stacey Yacula, the mum of this little bunny, was very nice and accepted that I show you what I created with her cute baby! - Thank you so much Stacey !!
She is a great artist and on her website you can find much more of these cute and funny creatures! - Visit her shop and you'll discover that she also designs beautiful rubber stamps! ;-)

Just for information:
I did not copy this image with a computer! I only traced it by hand, using transparent paper and tracing paper.
I used felt-tip pens and water to color the image.

Thank you for visiting!

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!

We have a new challenge at House of Cards
In May we want to make it sparkle on our cards and so we would love to see sequins on your creations!

I made a shaker card for my grandson's birthday.

The background and the sentiment are made with stamps from Stampin'Up. The funny dog stamps are from Kartzelkraft. I fussy-cut them after coloring and added googly eyes to each.

.... here is our Inspiration photo

Add Sequins and/or Colors

...... and now let's make it sparkle ;-)
